Hey Fashionistas,
As you might already know I have been living in Los Angeles for 3 years now but I have never walked up to the Hollywood sign and neither has my husband who was born and raised in LA.. So last Saturday we decided to hike to the sign.
If you are planning on hiking to the sign too I recommend leaving your car in one of the few lots on Canyon drive. From there you walk straight to the gate and keep on going straight.
After a mile of walking you will have made it to the “first” viewing point. From here you have a great view of LA. For some people this is already enough and they return to their cars.
My husband and I kept on walking all the way up. Eventually you will make it to a street from here turn right and keep on going up higher. After another 15 minutes you made it to the fence from where you can see the back of the Hollywood sign.
Keep following the road until you are on top of the hill. This platform is meant for you Instagrammers and Snapchatters because from here you have the best view and photo opportunities.
Whenever I go hiking I try to look somehow stylish. There was one time in Germany where i wore a skirt to a 5 hour hike so have fun with your hiking gear. If you feel good then its perfect for your hike dont let anyone tell you otherwise. This time I wore shorts because long pants really bother me when I hike places and a cute tank top. Most importantly, because you will be exposed to the sun 90% of the hike, You should always hike with sunglasses. My sunglasses are from Hindsight Vintage and these are also a limited edition. My retro sunglasses are available at ASOS.com. I love everything about these glasses. They are young and fun yet classic.
What would German Blondy be without a touch of pink? Not complete! That’s the reason why I’m wearing my pink nike sneakers and my sunglasses fit perfectly because they have a light pink frame with gold details.
If you are from LA or you just come to visit take a few hours out of your day to hike to the famous Hollywood sign. Don’t worry it is an easy hike so you won’t look exhausted when taking your pictures.
