First and foremost I want to mention that my Blog went through a makeover (who else noticed that?!) and I really love the new design and interface my blog has now. So, it is even more fun creating content for you guys.
Today I am going to show you one of my favorite city girl summer outfits featuring super comfortable shorts. Running errands, getting in and out of the car and meeting your girlfriends for lunch can be pretty stressful in denim clothes especially when the sun is burning with its 90 degrees. That is the reason why I like to option out for comfy soft shorts. I have to say that when you style them wrong these shorts can look like pjs really fast.
Soft shorts are exactly what their name suggests super comfy lightweight shorts made out of any fabric that is softer than denim. I got my shorts from Bebop, a company I truly love. Bebop as I mentioned many times before is a clothing company that is focused on dresses and bottoms for fashion girls. It is no wonder that these shorts are a must-have for summer because they are extremely lightweight and come in an array of prints, colors and length. The shorts are perfect for lounging around the house but they are stylish enough to wear outside.
I am wearing my black shorts with a black loose fitted t-shirt. So nothing really special but comfy. In order to add more style to this look I decided to wear my brown faux suede jacket. I absolutely love this jacket because it looks expensive and chic. Most of the time it’s in the high 80 here in LA but I always have to have a jacket with me because a jacket completes my look.
I love to add color to my looks because it not only adds freshness it also make your outfit pop more. I am wearing my lace wedge heels which are super comfy for running errands. Last but not least I am wearing a clutch. Yes most of you only pair a clutch to an evening look but you can make a clutch daytime appropriate in no time. A few points that you should consider do not wear a clutch made out of satin or velour. Also, do not wear a clutch with little diamonds or sparkles. Besides that every clutch can be worn in daytime.
Loose-fitting shorts also look great with a silky tank top, a lace top or a business shirt tucked into the shorts.
In the end, it is up to you what style and occasion you are going for. If you are going to the office try to pair your shorts with a business shirt and for the beach throw on a see-through lace shirt that shows your bikini and a straw head.
