Maybelline Super Stay 24: Keep Up The Flame and Constant Toast

I love lipsticks in all kinds of colors and formulas. From a matte to a super glossy finish I have them all. So I was really happy when I was gifted with two Maybelline Super Stay 24h. I have heard a lot about them but I never had the chance to try them out.
I received the colors Constant Toast which is a nude color with some sparkle and Keep Up The Flame which is a beautiful bright red. I received these product(s) complimentary for testing purposes. From those two colors, I liked the red one better because the nude contains some sort of sparkle which I didn't really care for and besides that I just love a gorgeous red lip.
These lipsticks are two sided with a side for color and a side with a clear balm. You first apply the color onto your lips. What I like about the Maybelline Super Stay 24h lipstick is the color pay off. For being a drugstore product the color selection and intensity is amazing. What I think could be improved about these lipsticks are the wands. In my opinion, the applicator is too large which makes the application difficult. I own a lot of liquid lipsticks so I would say I know how to apply them but I had a much harder time with the Maybelline lipsticks.
That being said you have to wait about 2 minutes before closing your mouth again to let the color dry. After the color dried you apply the clear balm to hydrate your lips and to give your lips a glossy finish.
The brand claims that the lipstick lasts 24h and you only have to reapply the clear balm when your lips feel a bit dry or you need a touch-up. I think the lip color last a long time and it survived eating and drinking but it did not last all day. I had to reapply the clear balm during the day which gave my lip color new life.
You should also know that the lip color is not kiss proof. Overall I like the Maybelline Super Stay 24h because the color pay off is just crazy and the formula feels good on my lips. The lipstick did not dry out my lips and for $9 it is totally worth it. The smell of the lipsticks are fruity (which I actually like) and the "taste" (no I do not eat my lipsticks) is fine. I feel like this lipstick can easily compete with high-end products. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends.
