Hey Fashionistas,
Happy Humpday! I hope your week is going great so far! I really enjoyed the warm sun rays the past few days. Warmer weather means I can finally leave the house without a scarf and I can exchange my jeans for a skirt.
Today’s look is an outfit that you can wear when it starts to get warmer. Currently, I would say that this only applies to people who live in Southern California, or to all the lucky people out there that happen to live in a warm place. But with every outfit, there are tricks to making a look appropriate for any weather.
I recently got this cute green crop top from Irisie. Irisie is an online shop that sells affordable fashion pieces. I really like how versatile this cropped blouse is. You can wear it unbuttoned like me, you can wear it with high-waist jeans, you can wear it over a dress. The possibilities are endless.
As you know I am a sucker for tulle skirts. I love how they flow in the wind when you walk and the femininity it adds to your look. When you think about tulle as a fabric most of the time you get reminded how horrible you looked in that prom dress or at your quinceanera (sweet 16?!). Sure you want to erase the memories but more importantly all the pictures an overpriced photographer took. But I am here to tell you that tulle is not your enemy and if you style it right it does not look inexpensive.
I decided to take the casual approach with this look and as you can see a tulle skirt fits perfect into the equation. In this case, the skirt, which has a unique shape adds a different texture to this look. Paired with my favorite bunny sneakers from Minna Parikka, a ton of bracelets and a black choker from Jules Smith this look really comes together. The green star crop top adds the finishing touches to my outfit. And voila a stylish, rocker chic look is born.
I would love for you to try tulle skirts and star spangled crop tops because you are never too old to try new things!
Thanks for stopping by!
