I hope you guys have been having a great week! I feel like time is flying, in less than 2 weeks I will be on my vacation. So for a few days, I have to leave my little cat behind, which makes me kinda sad because I worry way too much about her and her well-being. I hope she will be alright! Now, let’s talk about some happy news.
I was able to create and design my own shoes! Sounds crazy, I know! Shoes of Prey is a company that gives you the ability to design your own shoe. This could be everything from flats, to heels to boots. As a shoe lover I was extremely happy and at the same time overwhelmed by the huge amount of fabrics, textures, and details. I created the shoes with the help of my husband. He has a pretty good understanding when it comes to fashion! Although it takes time and dedication to create the perfect shoe for your own taste the results just blew my expectations.
Obviously, I had to create my own heels. I am not going to lie to you, I already own a decent amount of shoes. So with this shoe, we wanted to design something that I don’t have. We ended up with a pink suede heel with leopard details. Leopard fits to everything since it gets treated as a neutral. I love the color pink, I thought about coloring my hair pink ish but I haven’t found the time to do it (yet).
You can customize pretty much everything. I decided to get a 4-inch heel because that’s a height I like the most, but you are also able to choose a smaller heel.
Prices vary depending on what material you use for example silk is more expensive than suede. You can also add lace to a shoe and bow ties. I think bow ties are super cute so of course, I added one to my heels. Before you decide to purchase the shoe, you will see an option where you can co-brand your shoes. I decided to co-brand my creation with German Blondy.
Let’s talk about the quality and the outcome of the shoe. To be very honest I was a bit concerned because colors on the screen usually look a bit off compared to real life. When I opened my package, btw the packaging is gorgeous, I looked at a perfect pair of heels. The material feels great, it does not look inexpensive at all. The heels are also comfortable so I can’t complain.
This is a fun idea if you want to gift someone or if you just want to feel like a designer for a day. The shoe creation took us a while because there are too many options and sooner or later you reach a point where you get so annoyed that you just want to give up and get the damn shoes already. But just don't give up take time off from it and come back and create that masterpiece like I have done. You will thank me later.
