Hey Fashionistas,
This past weekend we celebrated Eric’s birthday. His actual birthday was on Saturday so we stayed up on Friday until midnight. I love giving gifts but it is so hard for me to keep them a secret. I got him a raspberry chocolate cake from Whole Foods, these cakes are actually pretty yummy. And I am not a cake person. He loved all his gifts which makes me very happy. My main gift to him was a parasailing voucher. We are super excited and scared at the same time to do this.
On Saturday we visited the Butterfly Pavilion and the National History Museum - these are the perks when your hubby works at this place. We can go anytime for free. I am actually a huge fan of these 3D movies that they have I find them to be very interesting and educational.
It is our Birthday tradition to go to Wurstkuche our favorite place. I should be a brand ambassador for this place considering the fact that I tell everyone about this place! :)
Of course, what would a beautiful day be without ice cream?! Eric got his birthday treat at Salt & Straw this place is amazing. I love that they offer seasonal ice cream - it is a great strategy to lure people back in at least it works on me. I always want to try new flavors.
I am also wearing one of my favorite summer outfits. Luckily, it is getting warmer here and I ca finally wear shorts again. A printed tee is a must for me. I ditched all boring shirts, only going to wear these under a sweater. Graphic tees are always more stylish and add more dimension to your outfit. Mickey Mouse is a classic print - you can never go wrong with Disney. But that does not mean a head to toe look is acceptable.
These are my style rules to look stylish in a graphic tee:
1. Tuck in your shirt. Your outfit looks way cleaner and you look less like a slop. If you don’t like a full tuck opt in for a french tuck which only tucks in the front of your garment.
2. Wear a belt. It does not need to be a designer belt it can be any belt. Make sure that your belt has metal applications. These metal details will make you look more expensive. I wear belts even tho the pants fit perfectly. Belts do not only functional but also an accessory. A belt separates your top from your bottoms in a very fashionable way. Next time wear a belt with your look and see how much more polished you’ll look.
3. Wear a bag. No outfit is complete without a bag. I usually wear crossbody bags but this time I opt-in for a white shoulder bag.
4. I paired my sparkling pink desert boots with this look. I love bold shoes. Instead of pairing a boring shoe with your outfit, try to wear something unexpected. Be careful that it does not look jokey.
Thanks for stopping by!
I love your look
